Assistant Chief Administrative Officer- Budget & Strategic Planning
Amanda Deaton currently works as the Assistant Chief Administrative Officer of Budget and Strategic Planning for the City of Macon, Georgia. She has been with the city for over three years. She is responsible for the City Budget. She has also held positions of the Assistant to Chief Administrative Officer and the interim Budget Director and interim Grants Director with the City of Macon. Currently, she serves as the project manager for the City’s Code for America initiative. She has worked with the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Her interests in local government include civic innovation, organizational culture, managerial effectiveness, and strategic planning. Amanda earned her Masters of Public Administration at the University of Georgia.
