Permit Applications

Once you have properly registered your company with the Department of Inspection and Fees, you may fill in the assidavit, print, sign and fax the completed form to 478-751-7268.

Trade permits can be filled in, printed, signed and faxed according to the Bureau's Fax Policy.

General Contractor and Building Permits are never eligible to fax but can be completed in the attached form(s), printed, signed and delivered by the contractor to The Department of Inspection and Fee at 682 Cherry St; Suite 500.

Office hours are:
8:00 am to 5 pm

Permits are sold between the hours of:
8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Final Inspection and CO's

In addition to storing construction and single trade permits in real time, the Bibb County website also maintains final inspections and recently issued certificates of occupancy. This can be especially helpful for contractors wanting to know which finals on their project have been completed.

To find this information, use the Search Permits (off site) link at right and find your permit by address or permit number. On the permit summary screen click the permit number to view details of the permit.

If final inspections have been completed, you should see a link at the top of the page that says "Final Inspection Information." Click this link to view finals for this permit.

Once the CO has been issued, the "Final Inspections" link will be replaced by a "Certificate of Occupancy" link. CO's will be stored for approximate 1-2 years and require Adobe Acrobat Reader to be viewed.
